Ashanti Shequoiya who is better called Ashanti, is a famous American singer and actress. She's an actress and singer who hails from the United States. Ashanti was famous when she was when she was a teen. The year 2002 was when she was signed to Murder Inc. Records. Ashanti was featured in Fat Joe's What's Luv? song that same year. The Fat Joe's What's Luv and Foolish? The songs of Ja Rule include Foolish (number number one) as well as What's Luv! at number two. Let's celebrate this momentous occasion with us. Ashanti Douglas, or Ashanti as she's popularly known, was born in Glen Cove New York in the year 1980. Tina Douglas was her mother and Ken Kaide Thomas Douglas earlier performed as a vocalist. But she did perform within and around New York and began hanging around at The Murder Inc. recording studio in hopes of a big break. Ashanti initially appeared in the role of background vocalist on the track Big Pun on the song "How We Roll". She also appeared in the song by Fat Joe "What's Luv?" as well as Ja Rule's Always On Time. Her debut single Foolish includes a snippet of the 1983 hit song from DeBarge, with Me. The self-titled debut album of Ashanti was released in 2002 on Irv Gotti's Murder Inc. record label. The Declaration, Ashanti's fourth studio album was released the 3rd of June, 2008. Hey Baby, After the Club (released via radio as well as digital formats) was released on October 16, 2008. She appeared as a character in the Christmas in the City film as Latasha in Army Wives. The song she sang Rock wit U was sampled by British rapper Aitch for his song Baby in March 10, 2022.
